Responsibilities
- Promptly address resident service requests
- Perform hands-on maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical work, and more
- Prepare market-ready apartments and maintain community grounds
- Conduct regular community inspections to identify necessary repairs or replacements
- Perform preventative maintenance
Requirements
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC equipment (if applicable), and perform interior repairs and painting
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of federal and state apartment housing laws
- Valid driver’s license, good driving record, auto insurance, and reliable transportation if operating a motorized vehicle (e.g., car, golf cart)
- Computer literacy and effective communication skills; must be able to communicate orally and in writing in English for work-related purposes
- Ability to work any assigned shift, including weekends, and respond to emergencies after normal business hours when on-call
- Ability to perform physical activities such as prolonged standing, walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials up to 50 lbs.
- Must use a personal smartphone with updated software, password protection, and compliance with in-house security systems
Qualifications
- Trade school certification/diploma (bonus)
- EPA Section 608 Type I, Type II, or Universal certification (bonus)
- Residential or commercial property management, hospitality, or retail experience (bonus)
Pay
Salary: $22.95 - $28.05/hour. Starting pay is determined based on job-related skills, experience, and qualifications. Employees are eligible for overtime pay and performance incentives.
