Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in multi-family
- HVAC/EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling (required)
- CPO certification (preferred)
- Proven knowledge of carpentry, electrical, plumbing, appliance repairs, roofing repairs, and general maintenance
- Strong time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Detail-oriented with pride in quality of work
- Self-motivated and takes initiative to complete tasks
- Available to work nights, holidays, and weekends for on-call service requests
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Local Fair Housing laws, OSHA, and EPA regulations
- Valid driver’s license may be required based on property size; reliable transportation is necessary
Responsibilities
- Ensure the property is well-kept and maintained; address safety concerns immediately
- Schedule and perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment as directed
- Diagnose and perform minor or routine maintenance/repairs, including HVAC troubleshooting and pool maintenance
- Remove and transfer appliances/equipment to/from storage or apartments; assist in disposing of abandoned items
- Complete service requests within 24 hours unless extraordinary parts/labor are required
- Perform on-call emergency service requests; respond within one hour when scheduled (on-call bonuses provided)
- Communicate professionally with residents, prospects, visitors, and vendors
- Demonstrate RADCO’s value of caring through respectful and professional interactions
- Perform additional reasonable tasks consistent with company objectives
Physical Requirements
- Constant movement, including use of arms, legs, and full-body activities (climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling)
- Frequent handling, operating, or inspecting tools, objects, or controls
- May work atop buildings or roofs as needed
- Ability to carry, move, or lift up to 75 lbs
- Must ascend/descend ladders and meet Type IAA (Extra Heavy Duty) ladder rating of 375 lbs (including employee weight, clothing, PPE, and tools)
