Maintenance Technician PVC Day Shift M-F 7AM-3PM

This position is for our Wilmington location.

Pay

$22–$42 an hour depending on experience level

Eligible for a $2,100 sign-on bonus: $700 after 90 days, $700 after 6 months, and $700 after 1 year of employment.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 3 PM

Responsibilities

  • Ensures production lines and other equipment are maintained and able to run at all times
  • Assists in developing and prioritizing work orders with Maintenance Manager, Production Supervision, and Line Leads
  • Completes work order requests as defined by Maintenance Manager, Production Management/Supervision, and/or Operators
  • Supports workplace organization programs (6S) and production efficiency programs (TPM)
  • Assists, coaches, and trains operators in daily preventative maintenance (CIL) checks
  • Supports and assists preventative maintenance process on the shift
  • Contributes and assists in line commissioning after maintenance/process events
  • Assists and participates with other plant projects as needed
  • Operates in a manner that provides value to the team
  • Performs additional duties as needed and/or assigned by supervision/management

Requirements

  • 0+ years of experience in the role of Maintenance Tech I
  • Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook
  • Proven experience working unassisted with and troubleshooting: Electrical, Electronic, Motor Controller Drives, Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Pneumatic Systems
  • Strong background in manufacturing systems in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Working knowledge of extrusion process, twin screw setup, blending system (a plus)
  • Knowledge of PLC Logic technology (a plus)
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Strong decision-making, analytical skills, and proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Success in planning, executing, and managing projects
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate upward and downward to a wide range of audiences
  • Self-directed, motivated, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced, 24/7 manufacturing environment

Qualifications

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Advanced education and/or related certification(s) (a plus)
  • Must meet qualification and certification requirements established by TimberTech’s Training Resources and Knowledge (TRAK) program
  • Completion of a two-year Maintenance Certification course
  • Stick and wire welding experience required; structural welding certification (a plus)
  • Forklift experience required with the ability to complete the TT Forklift Certification program
