Job Description

Shift

Shift: 3rd Shift 7:45pm to 8:00am. 12 hours shift. Rotative schedule M/T/S/S - W/T/F

Pay

Salary: The hourly wage for this position starts ranges from $27.70 - $35.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.

Summary

The primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality. Complies with applicable regulations and the department’s safety program.

Essential Functions

  • Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost-effective manner.
  • Performs duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
  • Checks and inspects assigned equipment during preventative maintenance.
  • Reports findings to management.
  • Completes work orders and updates maintenance tracking system.
  • Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
  • Ensures machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended down time.
  • Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
  • Responds quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
  • Maintains building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
  • Communicates existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma/GED preferred but not required.
  • Certifications preferred but not required.
  • Experience: 1-3 years of industrial electrical and mechanical maintenance experience in fast paced manufacturing environment. Any equivalent of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
  • Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair.
  • Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives are preferred.
  • Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder preferred.
  • Forklift experience preferred; training will be provided.
