Maintenance Technician, Multifamily

About the role

Maintain operations, troubleshoot, diagnose, perform housekeeping, and repair tasks on commercial buildings, industrial systems, vehicles, grounds, and maintenance equipment for assigned properties/facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and make ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping duties.
• Respond to resident requests promptly and professionally.
• Have knowledge of maintenance functions such as plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
• Maintain grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities to ensure cleanliness, functionality, and safety.
• On-call scheduling may be required to address after-hours emergencies.
• Report maintenance concerns on vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform maintenance tasks as scheduled by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Comply with state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
• Attend and participate in training programs as required by Cushman and Wakefield.
• Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
• Dress according to Cushman and Wakefield uniform and professional appearance standards.
• Maintain safety procedures and safeguard company tools and equipment.
• Achieve high productivity through reliable and punctual attendance, and report any tardiness or attendance issues to the immediate supervisor.
• Perform any other related duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license, EPA 608 - Minimum Type II and CPO or local city required certificate.
• Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and prepare and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several known variables in situations of a routine nature.
• Ability to utilize common sense understanding to carry out written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.

Skills

• Ability to read and understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
