Join our team at Vicksburg Village and play a key role in delivering exceptional living experiences for our residents. As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll ensure quality move-ins, prompt service, and a well-maintained community.
Responsibilities
- Prepare make-ready apartments, including painting, carpet repairs, cleaning, general repairs, and housekeeping to ensure a quality move-in experience.
- Respond to resident service requests promptly and professionally, ensuring high levels of residential satisfaction.
- Maintain knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, basic electric, general carpentry, painting, and snow removal (if applicable).
- Keep grounds, pools/hot tubs, common areas, and dog park amenities clean, operational, and safe for residents.
- Participate in on-call scheduling for after-hours emergencies.
- Report maintenance concerns in vacant units, models, and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Perform scheduled maintenance as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Adhere to state, local, and federal fair housing laws.
- Attend and participate in required training programs.
- Deliver superior customer service and represent the company professionally at all times.
- Follow company uniform and appearance standards, and maintain safety procedures for tools and equipment.
- Ensure high productivity through reliable attendance and punctuality; report any attendance issues to your supervisor.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or completion of Trade, Technical, or Vocational school.
- 1+ years of related experience.
- Valid Driver’s license.
- EPA 608 - Minimum Type II certification.
- CPO or local city-required certificate (if applicable).
- Ability to read and understand policy manuals, safety rules, and maintenance instructions.
- Basic math skills, including computation of rates, ratios, percentages, and interpretation of bar graphs.
- Ability to handle routine problems with known variables and follow written, oral, or diagrammed instructions.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Work Environment
This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment. Regular travel between properties in varying weather conditions is required.
Physical Demands
- Stand and walk for extended or continuous periods of time.
- Ascend and descend staircases, ladders, and/or step stools.
- Travel outside between buildings in varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Remain in a stationary position (sit or stand) for up to 85% of the time.
- Operate office machinery regularly.
- Travel up to 10% of the time, with frequency and duration varying.
- Exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, frequently, or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Pay
$21.25 - $25.00 per hour, depending on factors such as geographic location, experience, and qualifications. The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.
