About the role

Join our growing Maintenance Team as a full-time Maintenance Technician at Richman Property Services, Inc. in Austin, TX. Now is the best time to join our team in Austin, TX as this position is eligible for our brand new "Texas Stay Program", which is designed to financially reward commitment, celebrate milestones, and support RPS new-hires along the way! You will be eligible to receive up to $3,000.00 during your initial first year with RPS as follows: after 90-days $500.00, after 6 months, $1,000.00, after one year of service, $1,500.00.

Position details: The Prescott, our 346-unit luxury residential community located in Austin, TX 78745, M-F 8:00am-5:00pm, with on-call weekend rotation, 40 hours per week, weekend rotation required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily repair and upkeep of the property
  • Prepare vacant units for occupancy within established deadlines
  • Manage service requests and ensure timely completion
  • Maintain compliance with OSHA standards and The Clean Air Act
  • Oversee inventory and care of tools and equipment
  • Complete required tasks such as training, logs, and reports in a timely manner
  • Uphold company policies and provide exceptional customer service
  • Seek educational opportunities for personal growth and development
  • Assist in property preventative maintenance plan
  • Collaborate on maintaining curb appeal and cleanliness of buildings and grounds
  • Perform on-call duties and occasional overtime

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED; industry-related courses preferred
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance and general repair experience or Groundskeeper
  • Proficiency in maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, plumbing, painting, etc.
  • Must own basic tools as allowed by state laws
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, including Fair Housing Laws
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently

Skills & Certifications

  • EPA Section 608 Type I and II or Universal Technician license, strongly preferred
  • Valid Driver's License required
  • Proficient in English for communication and record-keeping purposes
