Responsibilities
- Review maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance (P.M.) tasks, and projects daily to ensure timely completion.
- Analyze recurring machinery and equipment issues to develop permanent repair solutions and cost-reduction strategies.
- Perform scheduled preventive and routine maintenance.
- Look up repair parts using prints, spreadsheets, catalogs, or online resources.
- Provide own tools (at specific locations).
- Maintain and repair mechanical drive systems, including belts, pulleys, speed reducers, roller chains, sprockets, shafts, and bearings, primarily on conveyor systems and tables.
- Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical components and systems.
- Operate lift trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other equipment as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures and practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
- Perform housekeeping duties in maintenance work areas and on the plant floor, including cleaning machinery after repairs.
- Conduct facility and building maintenance, repairs, and projects as required.
- Adhere to all company rules, policies, and procedures outlined in the handbook.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems and components, including 3-phase, single-phase, AC/DC control voltage, contactors, drives, photo eyes, proximity switches, coils, limit switches, safety switches, fuses, and breakers.
- Replace failed electrical components as needed.
- Repair, replace, or fit pipes and piping systems.
- Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, identify failed components, and repair control valves, pumps, cylinders, and pressure transducers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate and understand lockout/tagout procedures.
- Experience with mechanical drive systems (belts, pulleys, speed reducers, roller chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings).
- Proficiency in reading prints, spreadsheets, and catalogs for repair parts.
- Ability to operate lift trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other equipment.
