Responsibilities
- Handle complex work orders, mentor junior technicians, and lead preventative maintenance efforts.
- Diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner; complete all service requests to Hawthorne standards.
- Repair and restore vacant apartments to make-ready status per company standards.
- Assist with pool maintenance and cleaning; complete preventative maintenance per company policy.
- Perform daily building and common-area upkeep; maintain grounds free of litter, debris, and pet waste.
- Keep the shop organized to facilitate quick supply inventory assessment.
- Provide leadership, training, and mentoring to the maintenance team.
- Promote positive public relations with residents, coworkers, vendors, and staff; display a friendly and courteous attitude.
- Participate in an on-call emergency service rotation as scheduled; follow OSHA and company safety guidelines.
- Complete special projects as needed.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in apartment maintenance or a skilled trade such as HVAC, plumbing, or electrical.
- Valid driver’s license.
- EPA HVAC Certification.
- CPO Certification.
Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or lead technician experience strongly preferred.
