About the role

Under the general direction of the Maintenance Team Manager, the Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for the maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on a variety of production equipment at the Dallas, TX facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment.
  • Methodically analyze and correct problems of a varied nature on a wide range of equipment and support systems.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs and maneuver around equipment, climb stairs, and access equipment up to 45 ft on material handling equipment.
  • Work overtime daily and weekends, sometimes with minimal notice; flexibility with shift hours is required.
  • Operate forklifts and work collaboratively with co-workers inside and outside the Maintenance Department.
  • Apply knowledge of CMMS and Microsoft Office; understand Planned Maintenance practices.
  • Demonstrate process improvement ability and leadership while working individually and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in all maintenance crafts including basic electrical, mechanics, welding, and machine shop.
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 3–5 years related experience.
  • Minimum of one year experience supervising employees in a manufacturing/production/industrial environment.
  • Minimum of one year experience leading others through a project or initiative.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work across functions and interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities to assess risk.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the financial impact of business decisions affecting staffing, product components, and inventory.
  • Experience successfully leading large teams to support business initiatives.
  • Ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, and proactively initiate action steps to solve complex problems with incomplete or ambiguous information.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to propose and implement improvements to systems, methods of work, and analysis methods, ensuring continuous adaptation to business requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food processing.
  • Experience in plumbing, millwright, and carpentry.
  • Welding experience including certification in basic welding.
  • PLC and industrial electrical experience.
  • Robotic and conventional palletizer experience.
  • Dense phase pneumatic conveying experience.
  • Hands-on experience with new equipment installation.
  • Experience with boilers, chillers, and air compressors.
  • Trade school, certificate, or apprenticeship in industrial maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and relay logic.
