About the role

Join our team as a Maintenance Technician II and play a key role in maintaining peak operational performance. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and rebuild production machinery, automated systems, and electrical systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role includes preventive and predictive maintenance to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement. This opportunity is ideal for a skilled technician who enjoys hands-on problem-solving, working with advanced equipment, and directly impacting operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a broader range of duties, including more technically complex tasks, while demonstrating professional efficiency and independence. May provide technical direction to less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Provide equipment maintenance, interventions, and repairs, and conduct preventive machinery maintenance.
  • Perform intermediate-level troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Support operators with machine reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
  • Assist in troubleshooting equipment setup and production changeovers.
  • Respond to equipment breakdowns promptly and report unusual, inefficient, or dangerous mechanical and electrical situations.
  • Maintain work records and prepare clear, concise oral and written reports.
  • Follow all safety standards and quality protocols to ensure production exceeds standards.
  • Use appropriate safety precautions, methods, and apparatus to minimize exposure to chemicals, dust, and mechanical and electrical hazards.
  • Adhere to all safety precautions as required.
  • Work all required schedules; occasional day travel to nearby locations may be needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on mechanical and electrical equipment, or equivalent military experience.
  • Intermediate proficiency in hydraulics, mechanics, electrical systems, welding, and rigging.
  • Commitment to continuous learning to achieve increasing levels of expertise.
  • Must demonstrate and maintain Maintenance Tech II proficiency within 10 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-year Technical Degree in Engineering or Industrial Maintenance.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Physical Requirements and Environmental Factors

  • Frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, reaching overhead and/or at shoulder level, and lifting (up to 50 lbs.) or performing repetitive tasks throughout the day.
  • Occasional movement to other offices or buildings to access files, supplies, and equipment.
  • In a plant environment, exposure to wet and moist floors, including metal and plastic grating surfaces.
  • Exposure to temperatures ranging from 28°F to 100°F with both ambient and 100% humidity.
  • Handling products at temperatures between 25°F and 50°F.
  • Exposure to noise levels ranging from 50 dB to 110 dB.
  • Exposure to chemicals used in poultry, food, and processing plants.
  • Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the company.
