About the role
The Maintenance Technician I/II is responsible for improving systems and equipment reliability on assigned processes, reducing downtime, and supporting the operation of assigned processes. The position reports to the Senior Project Manager – OFP.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of duties
- Support the development & establishment of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans & spare parts lists for processes assigned
- Perform corrective & preventative maintenance on assigned process in a timely manner
- Interpret mechanical & electrical specifications, drawings & other technical data sheets
- Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts and/or weekends
- Ensure all maintenance activities are correctly documented in SAP
- Partner with process owners to actively improve performance & reliability of process equipment
- Contribute to growth & development of the maintenance team by training fellow technicians in areas of expertise, as well as learning new systems
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools to establish Root Cause Analysis & resolve equipment issues
- Suggest practical changes or improvements to equipment & department work practices
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers & Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in relevant field or equivalent military/industry training, which includes a thorough understanding of mechanical, electrical & control systems
- Minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience
- Regulated industry & solid dose manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to read, write & understand technical documentation, SOP’s, Maintenance Plans, PM’s, work orders
- Understanding of schematics, wiring diagrams, P&IDs & other technical documentation
- Computer literacy preferred
- Experience with automated record systems such as SAP preferred
- Experience in planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results & revising the work plan in accordance with the daily work plan
