Maintenance Technician I - Full Time - Northfield
Maintenance Technician
Maintain Buildings & Grounds – Perform general building maintenance, repairs, floor care, landscaping, snow removal, and remodeling to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
Manage HVAC & Mechanical System – Inspect, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to optimize safety and comfort for residents and staff.
Maintain Plumbing & Water Systems – Inspect and repair hot water heaters, softeners, plumbing equipment, and pool systems, including monitoring pool chemistry when scheduled. Ensure Life Safety & Emergency Preparedness – Maintain and troubleshoot fire safety systems, generators, sprinkler systems, and alarm panels, ensuring compliance with Life Safety Code procedures.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minnesota Boiler Operator’s License
- Strong mechanical knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance.
- Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain facility equipment efficiently.
- Valid driver's license with a clean record.
- On Call requirement on a rotating basis.
- Physical capability to perform essential job functions.
- Ability to pass state mandated background check.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, staff, and families.
