Maintenance Technician I
About the role
Fellowship Square seeks a Maintenance Technician I to support seniors in creating a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment. This role involves performing routine repairs, maintaining facilities, and responding to emergencies.
Responsibilities
- Follow maintenance schedules and supervisor instructions
- Perform routine repairs and general maintenance (plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry, plastering)
- Replace lighting and safely perform maintenance in elevated areas
- Respond promptly to unscheduled maintenance requests and emergencies
- Replenish maintenance supplies and support preventative maintenance routines
- Identify and report malfunctions, hazards, and defective equipment
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols at all times
- Support apartments/units to ensure readiness for residents
- Collaborate with team members on various maintenance tasks (drywall, cabinetry, appliances, etc.)
- Participate in ongoing training and continuous learning
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a maintenance team environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance
Qualifications
- Preferred skills include troubleshooting refrigeration systems, reading and interpreting plumbing and electrical schematics, and versatility across general maintenance tasks
