Duties And Responsibilities

  • Reassemble machines after the completion of repair or maintenance work.
  • Start machines and observe mechanical operation to determine efficiency and to detect problems.
  • Inspect or test damaged machine parts and mark defective areas or advise supervisors of repair.
  • Lubricate or apply adhesives or other materials to machines, machine parts, or other equipment according to specific procedures.
  • Install, replace, or change machine parts and attachments according to production specifications.
  • Dismantle machines and remove parts for repair using hand tools, chain falls, jacks, cranes, or hoists.
  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information.
  • Set up and operate machines and adjust controls to regulate operations.
  • Transport machine parts, tools, equipment, and other material between work areas and storage, using cranes, hoists, or dollies.
  • Clean machines and machine parts, using cleaning solvents, cloths, air guns, hoses, vacuums, or other equipment.
  • Collect and discard worn machine parts and other refuse in order to maintain machinery and work areas.

Working Conditions

  • Conducts work in a manufacturing environment with some exposure to the outdoors.
  • Exposure to loud machinery, fumes, odors, and dust.
  • Business is cyclical and requires flexibility in shift hours and days of the week worked.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used includes eye and hearing protection, EH certified safety shoes (steel toe or composite), flame resistant rated Maintenance uniform, and other PPE as defined by management within assigned department.

Pay

The range for this position is $36.77-$38.50 per hour. Actual salary could be greater based on education, experience, and other qualifying skill sets.

Schedule

2nd Shift Sunday through Thursday from 3:30pm-12am.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills

Must have strong mechanical skills and the ability to read and follow blueprints and technical drawings.

Sign-On Bonus

$3000 sign-on bonus provided in installments: $1000 after 90 days; $1000 after 180 days; $1000 after 270 days.
