About the role

Duro-Last Roofing, the world’s largest manufacturer of prefabricated roofing systems, has an opening for a Maintenance Technician at their facility in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will have industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair manufacturing equipment.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools to complete tasks as assigned.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery.
  • Maintain facility and associated equipment.
  • Work with maintenance vendors.
  • Keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Complete and submit company purchase requisitions.
  • Install equipment and electrical components and test to ensure proper functioning.
  • Ensure all machinery follows federal, state, and company safety standards.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety and environmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma Required
  • 3-5 years industrial plant maintenance or electrical experience is highly desired.
  • Able to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step-by-step instructions.
  • Must have experience with Industrial Controls.
  • Mechanically inclined, and able to perform physical labor, lifting & operating machinery.
  • Able to read blueprints and experienced with fabrication.
  • Excellent safety and attendance record.
  • Must be able to work overtime when required.
  • Self-motivated and be able to multi-task.
  • High attention to detail and be exceptionally organized.
  • Must have initiative and be able to work in a team and individually.
  • Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
