Job Summary
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on packaging lines
- Perform packaging line setups
- Provide Maintenance support during product trials
- Aid in and train Operators on autonomous maintenance procedures
- Suggest, request, and manage parts and inventory to ensure timely maintenance and repair operations
- Comply with requirements regarding logged work in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
- Resolve work requests that come in via radio calls
- Escalate issues using the help chain and participate in DMS 1 communications
- Receive training from other Maintenance Technicians and/or Supervisors
- Maintain 5S standards and a clean and safe work area
- Enforce company rules regarding safety, discipline, cooperation, and teamwork
- Comply with OSHA safety and GMP standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Requirements
- 1-2 years of industrial maintenance experience required
- Experience in food environment preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to perform technical skills including, but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of machines
- Can read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service, research parts needed to ensure adequate inventory
- Average math skills
- Ability to use a handheld tablet
- Ability to learn the CMMS used at CW (ManagerPlus)
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Qualifications
- Fluency in English is mandatory
Food Safety Responsibilities
- Attend all food safety training sessions (GMP, SQF, HACCP, Allergen, Food Facility Security, Preventing Foodborne Illness)
- Participate in company GMP walks
- Enforce company rules regarding food safety and monitoring
Working Conditions
- Office setting and warehouse environment with temperature range of 55 – 80 degrees
- Some tasks may require working near localized thermal elements that can cause the perceived temperature to be higher until the task is completed
- This position may require the employee to work weekends or shifts other than their own to meet the needs of the business
- This position may require the employee to work at facilities other than their own to meet the needs of the business
- Working shifts between 8 and 12 hours
- Capable of complying with all Safety requirements including but not limited to Bump Cap/Hard Hat, Safety Eyewear, Hearing Protection and Safety Boots ($150 stipend for Safety Boots will be provided every other year)
- Able to work in a facility where milk, eggs, peanuts, soy, and/or wheat allergens are processed, with or without accommodation
Physical Requirements
- Physical dexterity to perform installation and troubleshooting work with the facilities (interior and exterior) safely and efficiently
- Abilities may include but are not limited to: Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate tools
- Bending at the waist
- Kneeling, crouching, standing for extended periods of time
- Reaching above the head to store or retrieve materials
- Hearing and speaking to exchange information
- Seeing to perform skilled work and read meters or gauges
- Regularly lifting and/or moving objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lifting and/or moving objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lifting and/or moving objects that weigh more than 100 pounds
- Work in cramped spaces
- Use ladders, scaffolding, and/or a scissor lift while performing job duties
Salary Description
$24 - $40 / hour
