Maintenance Technician (Graveyard)

Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and repair dairy processing plant equipment, packaging equipment, and supporting utility systems.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility equipment.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs during machine service.
- Prepare and set up machinery for scheduled production runs.
- Perform mechanic skills including packaging mechanical, refrigeration, PLC/process controls, dairy systems mechanic, electrical, welding/fabrication, and general maintenance.
- Read and interpret drawings, equipment manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test, and make adjustments.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with employees, supervisors, and the general public.
- Communicate effectively and act as a team player, interacting with staff at all levels of the company.
- Work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in handling multiple projects simultaneously.
- Demonstrate excellent time-management skills with the ability to work independently with little supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED, or 1 to 3 years of related experience.
- Associate’s degree or trade school certification preferred.
- General plant mechanical maintenance history required.
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC programming, Allen Bradley Panel View, DeviceNet, ControlNet, and a strong electrical and instrumentation background.
- Strong background and experience working within a team, following One Team values of keeping commitments, valuing diverse perspectives, and collaborating across the organization.
- Proven ability to methodically think through problems with detailed step-by-step processes.
