Join our team as a Maintenance Technician and provide exceptional service to our residents while working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor.

About the role

The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Property Manager and is responsible for the overall maintenance of the property. Through dedication and uncompromised service, this position offers a career path to Maintenance Supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical maintenance repairs independently, covering plumbing, electrical, heating, air conditioning, appliances, and other areas as needed.
  • Complete apartment turnover maintenance within three to five business days, including:
    • Installation of blinds
    • Changing filters
    • Replacing bulbs and drip pans
    • Replacing door stoppers, caulking, and other miscellaneous repairs
  • Maintain common areas by sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, emptying trash, pressure washing, and cleaning windows.
  • Monitor building exteriors for issues with roof, siding, shutters, etc.
  • Help maintain an effective preventive maintenance program for your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure the safe condition of all equipment and structures within your area of expertise.
  • Enter newly purchased tools or equipment into inventory.
  • Keep work areas clean and orderly.
  • Observe all safety rules.
  • Be available for on-call hours.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of automobile insurance coverage.
  • EPA certification preferred; if required at a specific property, certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

  • Maintenance experience and knowledge in plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
