About the Role

Maintenance Technicians are responsible for repairing, maintaining, building, overhauling, and troubleshooting various types of machines and equipment. They also perform facility maintenance as needed.

Responsibilities

• Hold Electrician Certification.
• Review maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance (P.M.) tasks, and projects daily to ensure timely completion.
• Analyze recurring problems with machinery and equipment, proposing permanent repair solutions and cost-reduction ideas.
• Perform preventive and routine maintenance as scheduled.
• Look up repair parts using prints, spreadsheets, catalogs, or online resources; consult with vendors to obtain quotes and complete requisition forms for part orders.
• Provide and use own tools.
• Work on mechanical drive systems, including belts, pulleys, speed reducers, roller chain, sprockets, shafts, and bearings, primarily on conveyor systems and tables.
• Demonstrate strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical components and systems.
• Operate lift trucks, scissor lifts, boom lifts, and other equipment as needed.
• Follow all safety procedures and practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness in the maintenance work area and any area where repairs are performed, including wiping down machinery.
• Perform facility and building maintenance, repairs, and projects in a timely manner.
• Follow all company rules, policies, and procedures outlined in the company handbook.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems and components, including 480-volt 3-phase, 220-volt single-phase, 110-volt single-phase, and 24-volt AC/DC control voltage used in contactors, drives, photo eyes, proximity switches, coils, limit switches, safety switches, fuses, and breakers.
• Replace failed electrical components as needed.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, identify failed components, and repair hydraulic systems, including control valves, pumps, cylinders, and pressure transducers.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Pay

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
