Maintenance Technician (Days)

Piper Companies is seeking a Maintenance Technician (Day Shift) for a full-time opportunity within the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry in Wilson, North Carolina. This position will provide critical equipment and process support across sterile manufacturing operations that produce life-saving healthcare products in a highly regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on production equipment supporting sterile manufacturing and packaging operations.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and process-related equipment issues to ensure optimal system performance.
• Support critical manufacturing assets including sterilization systems, formulation equipment, filling suites, processing tanks, and packaging machinery.
• Complete maintenance documentation and work orders while adhering to GMP, FDA, safety, and quality requirements.
• Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and quality teams to maximize equipment uptime and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Industrial Technology, Maintenance Technology, Mechatronics, or a related technical field preferred.
• Bioworks Certification preferred; recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Prior experience in industrial maintenance, pharmaceutical manufacturing, food production, biotechnology, or other regulated manufacturing environments is preferred.
• Candidates without a degree will be considered if they possess relevant pharmaceutical or industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong troubleshooting abilities with mechanical systems and a high level of attention to detail when working on mission-critical equipment.

Pay

Salary Range: $27.00 - $36.00 per hour
