Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install and repair equipment, parts, and systems in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
• Read and interpret work orders, safety rules, mechanical and electrical drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Apply working knowledge of Electrical Codes, OSHA, and standard industry safety rules/regulations.
• Perform prescribed Preventative Maintenance according to continuous improvement processes.
• Maintain accurate and complete records, document all work performed appropriately.
• Assist in maintaining parts and supplies inventory by reporting low supply levels to Supervisor.
• Maintain accurate daily repair logs and KPIs.
• Operate grinder, welder, and other metalworking tools to fabricate and assemble parts as needed.
• Adhere to continuous improvement and root cause analysis practices.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment malfunctions.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replace defective parts.
• Adhere to good housekeeping practices.
• Utilize a continuous improvement mindset to assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
• Understanding of failure mechanisms, ability to isolate, determine root cause, and repair.
• Ability to work 2nd shift.
• Problem-solving skills, team-oriented, and detail-oriented.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience and/or training that includes installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems equipment, HVAC maintenance, or equivalent skills and abilities.
• Ability to pass a standardized maintenance aptitude test.
• Ability to pass pre-employment background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Associate’s degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
