Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on building systems, equipment, and machinery, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical components.
- Respond to emergency repairs when necessary, diagnosing issues and troubleshooting malfunctions effectively.
- Identify and address minor plumbing issues such as leaks, clogs, and drips.
- Repair or replace fixtures, faucets, and pipes as needed.
- Conduct routine inspections to prevent plumbing problems.
- Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility's cleanliness and functionality.
- Repair or replace damaged equipment, furniture, and fixtures.
- Regularly troubleshoot and repair light switches, outlets, and electrical fixtures.
- Replace bulbs, ballasts, and wiring as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols while working on electrical systems.
- Assist in maintaining a safe working environment by promptly addressing safety hazards.
- Report any safety concerns or incidents to the Facilities Manager.
- Work in an organized, time-efficient, safe manner.
- Operate machinery and equipment regularly used in maintenance and simple construction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Operate different types of tools and machinery, utilize power and hand tools effectively, and follow instructions as given.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- 5+ years electrical experience, Master Certification preferred but not required.
- Experienced with 120v, up to 480v 3 phase, Proficient troubleshooting electrical issues, identifying and resolving problems efficiently and effectively.
- Experienced with operating and troubleshooting facility equipment such as air compressors, boilers, chillers, chilled water system, air handlers, HVAC systems.
- Mechanically inclined, Familiar with Total Production Maintenance (TPM) by performing routine preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment.
- Proficient operating all different types of hand tools.
- Able to use Welding/Cutting equipment is a plus.
- OSHA 30 Certification a plus.
- Able to drive forklifts, scissor lifts and work from elevated platforms.
- Familiar with facility fire alarm and fire suppression systems and able to perform routine inspections.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, carpentry and janitorial.
Physical Requirements
- May require the ability to perform tasks involving standing, walking, lifting 100+ lbs, bending, stooping, computer work, working with live electricity, climbing on roofs, navigating high distances, and other physical activities.
