Maintenance Technician

Overview

A skilled Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing repairs and maintenance within an apartment community, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Key Duties Include

• HVAC: repairs, cleaning, and replacements
• Plumbing: repairs, part replacements, installations (sinks, toilets, faucets)
• Carpentry: door, shelf, countertop, and lock repairs and installations
• Painting: drywall repairs and painting tasks
• Electrical/Appliance: lighting, wiring, circuit work, switch and lamp replacements
• Machinery: maintenance of chillers, belts, pumps, fans
• Performing other assigned duties

Qualifications & Skills

• 1-2 years of experience in commercial or multi-unit residential property maintenance
• High School Diploma/GED; 3-4 years of experience can substitute educational requirements
• Preferred certifications in HVAC, Electrical, or Plumbing
• Valid driver's license may be required
• Strong communication, interpersonal, attention to detail, customer service, and accountability skills
• Self-motivated team player
• Computer and smartphone literacy
• Ability to work weekends if needed; multilingual skills a plus
