As a Maintenance Technician at our 332-unit affordable housing community, 333 Holly in The Woodlands, you will ensure our buildings and grounds are safe, functional, and inviting. You’ll perform a variety of maintenance tasks, from plumbing and electrical repairs to HVAC and carpentry work, while upholding high standards for quality and safety. Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Prepare vacant units to occupancy standards within established time frames.
  • Inspect property mechanical systems and grounds, addressing safety issues immediately with management.
  • Conduct routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
  • Perform cleaning and upkeep of common areas and grounds.
  • Assist in emergency repairs as directed by supervisors and rotate on-call for emergency maintenance.
  • Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and report any shortages.
  • Conduct routine preventative maintenance activities in partnership with the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of experience in general maintenance or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Affordable housing experience is a plus.
  • Must be able to participate in the emergency on-call rotation as needed.
  • Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
  • Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve.
  • Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Reliable and committed to doing the right thing at all times.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.

Pay

Anticipated salary range: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour. This position is non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay. Actual compensation may vary based on candidate qualifications, geographical location, and role responsibilities. Eligible for annual performance bonuses and a comprehensive benefits package.
