Maintenance Technician

Alloy Products Corp. has been a fixture in Waukesha for nearly 100 years — and we're still family-owned and proud of it. We're looking for a hands-on problem-solver to join our team of technicians. If you like fixing things, have a natural curiosity about how equipment works, and bring solid troubleshooting skills to the table, we want to talk. You don't need to know it all — we're willing to teach the right person with the right mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Facility & Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic repairs and general maintenance to keep facilities functional, safe, and in good working order
  • Assist with basic plumbing, heating, cooling, and electrical repairs and installations
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical malfunctions on production machines and material handling equipment
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to catch issues early
  • Respond promptly to minor and major facility-related service requests and emergencies
  • Open, close, and secure buildings and systems as required
  • Safety & Compliance: Work with wastewater and hazardous chemicals in accordance with applicable codes and regulations
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a safe work environment
  • Team & Facility Support: Work as part of a team of technicians, taking direction from Supervisors and Management on priorities
  • Operate forklifts, cranes, and other industrial equipment to assist with loading/unloading, including at elevated heights
  • Use mechanical and electrical tools and testing equipment proficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools
  • Track stock of basic maintenance supplies and notify Supervisor when restocking is needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1–2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in a sheet metal environment; maintenance, mechanic, or similar experience preferred
  • Basic knowledge of general maintenance in a manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with mechanical and electrical tools and testing equipment
  • Ability to work independently or under supervision while managing multiple tasks efficiently
  • Forklift operation experience preferred
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Valid driver's license

Pay

Pay range: $26 to $27 an hour

Schedule

Hours: 6-2:30pm or 7-3:30pm
