Maintenance Technician

At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in the Bethlehem, PA area.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license
• Verifiable High School diploma or G.E.D.
• 3 years of experience in maintenance repairs
• Skills and knowledge in all phases of maintenance repairs, including:
  • Carpentry
  • Light electric
  • Plumbing
  • Drywall and spackle repair
  • Painting (a plus)

Responsibilities

• Become familiar with and comply with Merakey’s policies and procedures
• Report directly to the Maintenance Manager
• Adhere to work schedule; report absence or lateness
• Complete daily work assignments as directed by the program supervisor
• Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings
• Uphold Merakey’s missions, values, and philosophy, and maintain professional conduct
• Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities
• Safely and efficiently use power tools and equipment
• Perform repairs and maintenance in the following areas:
  • Desk and furniture repair
  • Surface preparation and painting
  • Wall and ceiling tile repair
  • Electrical repairs
  • Roof repairs
  • HVAC system repairs and ongoing maintenance
  • Parking lot repair and maintenance
  • Plumbing repair and maintenance
  • Lock repairs
  • Renovations and upgrades to the physical plant
  • All types of home and building maintenance
• Conduct walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner
• Perform assigned projects independently or collaboratively

Pay

$22/hour
