At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in the Bethlehem, PA area.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Verifiable High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 3 years of experience in maintenance repairs
- Skills and knowledge in all phases of maintenance repairs, including:
- Carpentry
- Light electric
- Plumbing
- Drywall and spackle repair
- Painting (a plus)
Responsibilities
- Become familiar with and comply with Merakey’s policies and procedures
- Report directly to the Maintenance Manager
- Adhere to work schedule; report absence or lateness
- Complete daily work assignments as directed by the program supervisor
- Attend periodic staff meetings and mandatory in-service trainings
- Uphold Merakey’s missions, values, and philosophy, and maintain professional conduct
- Assume on-call coverage for emergency maintenance responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently use power tools and equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance in the following areas:
- Desk and furniture repair
- Surface preparation and painting
- Wall and ceiling tile repair
- Electrical repairs
- Roof repairs
- HVAC system repairs and ongoing maintenance
- Parking lot repair and maintenance
- Plumbing repair and maintenance
- Lock repairs
- Renovations and upgrades to the physical plant
- All types of home and building maintenance
- Conduct walkthrough inspections of sites, report and address repairs in a timely manner
- Perform assigned projects independently or collaboratively
Pay
$22/hour
