Join a team of Maintenance Technicians at Pratt Industries in Carlisle, PA! Positions starting at $28 - $34 hourly and up based on experience. Our skilled multi-craft professionals are crucial to the safe and effective operations of this facility. Maintenance Technicians maintain and repair the machinery involved in turning recycled paper into corrugated boxes for customers like Domino’s, Home Depot, Amazon, and Hello Fresh.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair machinery used in corrugated box production
• Maintain and repair electrical instrumentation
• Troubleshoot logic controllers and VFDs
• Work with boilers, steam systems, welding, and fabrication
• Perform conduit bending and machining tasks (lathe, mill, press, etc.)
• Ensure industrial safety standards are met

Requirements

• Troubleshooting of 3-phase power/electricity
• Experience with AC/DC motors and motor starters
• Knowledge of gearboxes/gear reducers
• Basic working knowledge of PLCs and VFDs
• Experience with hydraulics and pneumatic systems
• Technical/mechanical background
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good work history

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to use hands to handle, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
• Occasionally required to sit
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance
• Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

Work Environment

• Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
• Frequently exposed to wet, hot, and/or humid conditions
• Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; and vibration
• Noise level in the work environment is usually loud

Skills

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or graphic form

Schedule

• 1st Shift: 7AM – 3PM
• 2nd Shift: 3PM – 11PM
• 3rd Shift: 11PM – 7AM

Pay

$28 - $34 hourly and up based on experience
