About the role
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and troubleshooting problems related to the conveyor system and warehouse equipment and keeping the facility operating and repairing problems. Also performing routine maintenance around the distribution center and applying preventative measures to the building and machinery to reduce the risk of future problems.
Responsibilities
- Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot basic power distribution systems, branch circuits, lighting systems, transformers, and wiring methods and materials
- Ability to maintain and troubleshoot basic relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components—photo eyes, motor starters, relays, limit switches, proximity sensors, timers, solenoids, Servo drives, frequency inverters, linear drives, tachs, and encoders
- Basic knowledge of PLC programs, ability to troubleshoot ladder logic (read use for troubleshooting), components (CPU back plains, I/O boards, counters, modules, and devices) and communications modules (Ethernet)
- Determining work procedures, preparing work schedules and expedite workflow
- Ensuring that all employees are in compliance with all applicable health and safety regulations and other company-related policies and procedures
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Experience in repairing and maintaining conveyors and powered industrial machines

Physical demands
- Lifting up to 50 pounds
- Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head
- Occasionally push and pull wheeled dollies loaded with products up to 100 pounds
- Full manual dexterity in both hands and wrists
- Ability to climb ladders and gangways safely and without limitation
