Maintenance Technician

About the role

Atria Senior Living is seeking individuals for a career in maintenance and property management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare move-in-ready apartments
  • Manage all maintenance needs
  • Complete daily community inspections
  • Perform various maintenance tasks
  • Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment
  • Partner with contractors/subcontractors
  • Organize maintenance storage and mechanical rooms
  • Ensure compliance with laws

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in preparing move-in ready apartments
  • Manage all maintenance needs of the community
  • Complete daily community inspections
  • Perform various maintenance tasks
  • Monitor and maintain mechanical equipment
  • Partner with contractors/subcontractors
  • Organize maintenance storage and mechanical rooms
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and provincial laws

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years of hands-on maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
  • Three (3) years of multi-family property management or other building maintenance experience preferred
  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills, including measurement
  • Demonstrated ability to use independent judgment and discretion
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Ability to transport up to 50 pounds variable distances
  • Experience in carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning
  • Familiarity with Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
  • Valid driver's license
  • Compliance with Company motor vehicle policy standards

Qualifications

  • Ability to drive company vehicle (if required)
  • Act as a manager on duty as required
  • May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned
