Maintenance Technician

The Role

Grid Solutions, part of GE Vernova, seeks a skilled maintenance technician to join their team. This position involves troubleshooting and repairing production equipment, as well as assembling and maintaining machinery.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical/mechanical equipment, using hand and power tools.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as defined by internal schedules.
• Read and interpret equipment manuals, electrical and mechanical schematics, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
• Detect and report any deviations that could affect equipment performance and lifespan.
• Suggest improvements to enhance equipment and operational efficiency.
• Support the facility's operations by responding to production needs as required.
• Work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance duties within a manufacturing environment
• Minimum 2 years of PLC experience

Desired Characteristics

• Superior troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve equipment issues.
• Ability to read and interpret equipment schematics and manuals.
• Experience with equipment lockout/tag-out activities to safely de-energize equipment.
• Proficient in computer skills (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office, web interfaces).
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
