Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

  • Aid in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems.
  • Conduct repairs when necessary for heating and plumbing systems.
  • Inspect and schedule repairs for alarm systems (fire, protection).
  • Perform manual repairs such as fixing locks, replacing windows, etc.
  • Carry out pest control tasks including spraying insecticide.
  • Undertake general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
  • Keep grounds and landscaping in excellent condition.
  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure its adherence.
  • Mow, weed eat, and trim hedges.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment.

Requirements

  • Physically capable of manual labor including lifting, bending, and reaching.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
  • Puts high value on doing a good job and demonstrates self-supervisory skills.
  • Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
  • Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
  • Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Building maintenance technology or relevant field preferred.
  • Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) desired.
