Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Aid in setting up ventilation, refrigeration, and other systems and carry out necessary repairs.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure their proper functioning.
• Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs as needed.
• Perform manual repairs when necessary, including fixing locks, replacing windows, etc.
• Carry out pest control activities such as spraying insecticide.
• Undertake general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned.
• Keep grounds and landscaping in excellent condition.
• Assist in preparing budgets and ensure adherence to them.
• Perform mowing, weeding, and hedge trimming (including preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment).

Requirements

• Physically capable of manual labor involving lifting, bending, and reaching.
• Positive attitude and willingness to lead and work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and organizational skills.
• High value placed on doing a good job and possessing self-supervisory skills.
• Basic understanding of plumbing and other systems.
• Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
• Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Building maintenance technology or relevant field experience preferred.
• Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification desired.
