About the Role
The Latitude Building Maintenance Technician ensures all mechanical systems and equipment are operational and properly maintained, and common areas are kept clean. This role involves performing minor and routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections across various building trades.
Responsibilities
- Work from instructions and complete daily work orders and required forms.
- Perform minor and routine maintenance, replacement, and repairs in carpentry, electrical work, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, flooring, and other building repairs.
- Paint common areas and touch up as required; inspect areas needing paint and advise manager.
- Perform casual labor, such as lifting/moving heavy items following appropriate safety procedures.
- Inspect all assigned areas daily and report maintenance discrepancies or deficiencies to Supervisor.
- Maintain assigned equipment in good working condition.
- Assist with operations to maintain workflow and meet schedules; notify supervision of unusual equipment issues or supply needs.
- Participate in meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, and resolve problems.
- Follow all safety precautions while performing work.
- Adhere to all policies and Standard Operating Procedures as instructed by Management.
- Set up and take down event equipment, supporting events during and after normal business hours.
- Participate in on-call duties for after-hours emergencies.
- Perform special projects, tasks, and other related duties as assigned.
- Maintain high resident contact throughout service hours.
- Build strong teams through supervision, training, coaching, and leadership.

- Ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety rules.
- Must have holiday and weekend availability.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalency preferred.
- Two years of general experience in building trades, repair, and maintenance work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to properly utilize new equipment and follow safety procedures.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
- Ability to drive to different locations as needed; valid Driver’s License required.
- Team player but can work independently.
Skills
- Carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, mechanical, painting, and flooring repairs.
- Use of basic hand tools, cordless power tools, golf carts, leaf blowers, ladders, and carts.
- Event equipment setup and takedown.
Physical Requirements
This position works under indoor and outdoor conditions, exposed to elements including chemicals, odors, weather, and environmental conditions. The associate must:
- Work in an upright standing position for long periods.
- Sit, walk, crawl, climb, and reach with hands and arms.
- Lift up to 100 lbs.
- Navigate the property/building quickly and easily to meet job functions.
- Detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarms.
- Work extended and flexible hours, including weekends, as needed.
Pay
$21.00 per hour
