Maintenance Technician
Kemps Minneapolis is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic to keep their plant running smoothly. The primary responsibilities include fixing and maintaining production and packaging machines, performing regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting issues, installing new equipment, and communicating with operators to resolve production problems.
- Fix and maintain production and packaging machines
- Perform regular equipment checks and preventive maintenance
- Troubleshoot issues to keep lines running and reduce downtime
- Work on electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, air (pneumatic), and hydraulic systems
- Help install new equipment
- Work with operators to solve problems quickly
- Use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
- Complete work orders and document repairs clearly and on time
- Communicate problems that may affect production
- Follow all safety, food safety, and company procedures
What We're Looking For
- Hands-on mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability
- Strong attention to safety and quality
- Reliable, team-oriented, and willing to learn
- High school diploma or GED
- Technical training (maintenance or trade school) a plus
- 1+ year of maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred
- Experience with electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLCs, or HVAC equipment helpful
- Strong mechanical skills and willingness to learn

Physical & Work Environment
- Active, hands-on role (standing, walking, bending most of shift)
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Work in cold production areas (gear provided)
- Exposure to noise and production environment (PPE provided)
