About the role
The Maintenance Technician assists in service and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal. This role works under general supervision but requires a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
Responsibilities
- Performs major maintenance projects, service, and repairs in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, minor HVAC problems, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, snow removal, vehicle maintenance, and furniture moving.
- Provides labor, skills, and expertise with a focus on quality workmanship, safety, functionality, and comfort for residents, participants, staff, and visitors.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- NYS Driver’s license in good standing.
- At least 1 year of job-related experience, specifically in preventative maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, painting, sheet rocking, HVAC, electrical, grounds keeping, cleaning, and/or snow removal.
- In lieu of 1 year of experience, successful completion of a building-related trade and/or technical program will be accepted.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
Pay
Compensation Range: $20.90 - $24.20 per hour.
