This position is in our Food Enterprise where we are committed to serving food manufacturers, food service customers, and retailers with a complete range of innovative ingredients and branded products. Our portfolio includes poultry, beef, egg, alternative protein, salt, oils, starches, sweeteners, cocoa and chocolate.
About the role
A typical work day may include:
- Performing preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on industrial equipment and facility systems.
- Documenting maintenance activities, completed repairs, and equipment conditions using maintenance management software and related systems.
- Installing, maintaining, testing, evaluating, and repairing various components and systems including heavy mobile equipment, hydraulic systems, 12 & 24V mobile electrical systems, belt conveyors, gear reducers, and bearings.
- Safely operating and utilizing a variety of maintenance tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, pneumatic tools, and electric tools.
- Reading and interpreting mechanical and electrical schematics, blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
- Operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment as required.
- Following all company safety standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Supporting additional maintenance and operational tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- Able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Possess basic computer proficiency.
- Demonstrate basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
- Minimum of one year of experience in industrial electrical systems and mechanical maintenance.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable working in both indoor and outdoor industrial environments with exposure to heat, cold, dust, noise, and other varying conditions while using required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work at heights of 4 feet or more.
- Willing and able to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and alternate shifts as needed with advance notice.
Qualifications
What will put you ahead:
- Experience working with SAP and/or a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Certified Maintenance Reliability Technician (CMRT) certification, or willingness to obtain certification.
- Heavy equipment or industrial maintenance technical diploma from a trade school, or 3+ years of equivalent hands-on maintenance experience.
- Certifications in Predictive Maintenance and/or Precision Maintenance.
- Proven experience troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining:
- Packaging equipment
- Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Belt and roller conveyors
- Pumps
- Gear reducers or Bearings
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience diagnosing and resolving equipment reliability and performance issues.
