Maintenance Technician - A Crew - VPO

About the role

As a Trex Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for supporting production equipment repairs and upgrades and performing general and preventive maintenance. This role is a key member of our Operations team, guided by five beliefs:

Responsibilities

• Work as a team to drive our “people first” culture.
• Promote and practice all aspects of job safety.
• Always demonstrate Trex cultural values and beliefs.
• Maintenance and repair of all mechanical and electrical systems on-site.
• Learn to troubleshoot programmable logic controls and understand ladder logic.
• Responsible for metal fabrication, machining, and welding as required.
• Support engineering in the improvement of and/or development and implementation of new products and processes.
• Participation in housekeeping activities to keep up plant appearance and ensure it operates acceptably and safely.
• Participate in additional duties as required by the department team lead or manager.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of Industrial Maintenance Experience is required.
• High School Diploma (or GED) along with a high mechanical aptitude and welding experience is required.
• Associate degree in industrial maintenance is a plus.
• Experience as a Maintenance Lead or Maintenance Specialist is desirable.
• Ability to wear required PPE, lift a minimum of 50 pounds, and attend offsite training classes (1-2 weeks per year, with proper notice).
