Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (WI)

About the role
Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical systems and machines to include disassembly, cleaning, reassembly, and calibration in partnership with the Supervisor, Maintenance. Observes and tests the operation of machinery and equipment to diagnose malfunctions, utilizing necessary testing equipment. Assists in the planning, coordinating, and implementation of special projects, equipment installations, and routine maintenance. Operates newly repaired machinery and equipment to verify the adequacy of repairs completed. Records repairs, maintenance, parts and materials used, and orders new parts and materials as necessary. References facility floor plan and manufacturers’ manuals to determine correct installation and operation of equipment. Examines parts and equipment for defects and excessive wear. Applies a variety of methods, procedures, and techniques to layout, install, align, repair, overhaul, and maintain various types of machines and equipment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent (preferred)
- 2-3 years of mechanical and electrical background (preferred)
- 2 years of facilities maintenance experience (preferred)
- Experience working in the pet food or food production industry (preferred)
- HACCP experience (preferred)
