Pay

Starting at $26 - $35 per hour, based on experience, with a clear path for promotions and pay increases.

Schedule

12-hour night shift, 2-2-3 schedule that offers great work-life balance.

About The Role

As a Maintenance Technician at Pratt Industries, you’ll be a key player in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our facility. You’ll maintain and repair the machinery that turns recycled paper into corrugated boxes used in everyday products – from pizzas at Domino’s to Amazon deliveries and moving supplies from Home Depot!

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair machinery and equipment
  • Troubleshoot 3-Phase power/electricity, AC/DC Motors, Motor Starters, Gearboxes/Gear Reducers
  • Work with basic knowledge of PLCs & VFDs, Hydraulics, and Pneumatic Systems

Requirements

Skills

  • Troubleshooting of 3-Phase power/electricity
  • AC/DC Motors and Motor Starters
  • Gearboxes/Gear Reducers
  • Basic knowledge of PLCs & VFDs
  • Hydraulics and Pneumatic Systems

Bonus Skills/Experience:

  • Experience with electrical instrumentation
  • Ability to troubleshoot logic controllers/VFDs online
  • Knowledge of Boiler/Steam systems
  • Welding/Fabrication skills
  • Conduit Bending & Machining (Lathe, Mill, Press, etc.)
  • Industrial Safety experience

Physical Demands

  • Regular standing, walking, reaching, and the occasional crawling or kneeling
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs with assistance
  • Specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, color vision, and depth perception

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to read a tape measure and apply basic high school-level math

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to follow written, oral, or graphic instructions and apply common-sense reasoning

Required Tools

Must-Haves:

  • A set of screwdrivers, wrench sets (Metric & Standard), socket sets, hammers, and more
  • High-quality tools from brands like Craftsman, Gearwrench, and Channellock

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Pipe wrenches, tap & die sets, welding gloves & helmet, machinist tools, and more
