Maintenance Technician - 3rd shift

Job Summary

Cooper Farms is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 3rd shift to join their team at the Van Wert Cooked Meats Plant in Van Wert, Ohio. The position offers a $3,000 sign-on bonus, starting hourly rate of $24.00-$28.00 with potential increases after 90 days, monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses, and various benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.

Job Functions

• Assisting in troubleshooting and fixing machines to ensure production continues
• Performing all assigned preventative maintenance procedures
• Keeping records of all parts used and/or damaged and completing required paperwork

Requirements

• Electrical skills: 480vac 3 phase, VFD, PLC, Robotics, Print Reading
• Troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis
• High Mechanical Aptitude: print reading and interpretation, Mechanical Assembly, Pneumatics and Hydraulics knowledge
• Good communication and note-taking skills
• Basic computer skills: data entry, time logging

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Ability to be on feet for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 100 pounds
• Must be able to work in a cool, damp environment
