A Maintenance Technician at Avancez Assembly will work in a fast-paced environment, performing diverse duties such as troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role supports the achievement of business goals through safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems.

Responsibilities

  • Launch activity and shift start-up procedures
  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain hydraulics, pneumatics, and controls
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to maintenance calls
  • Ensure all machinery is functional for production and analyze machinery performance
  • Complete EOSR/communication, daily reports, and downtime reports
  • Work with minimal supervision and participate in continuous improvement (CI) and layered process audits (LPA)
  • Analyze machine performance and recommend improvements
  • Repair broken or defective equipment while following lockout/tagout procedures
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment and manage parts inventory
  • Document process improvements and track production downtime
  • Perform overtime as required and adapt to flexible schedules
  • All other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience working in a production environment
  • Technical certification preferred (electrical, robotic, mechanical, or fabrication)
  • Minimum travel required

Skills

  • Robotics, mechanical, welding, and electrical knowledge
  • PLC and schematics experience (Allen Bradley and Siemens Step 7)
  • Forklift/Manlift certification
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Basic understanding of building maintenance and schematics
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to act as an independent leader and team player
  • Blueprint/schematic reading proficiency
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Safety certification preferred
