About the Role
Supports production operations by ensuring the optimal performance of manufacturing equipment. In this hands-on role, you will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and repair production machinery to minimize downtime and maximize efficiency.
Schedule: 2nd Shift - Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Maintain company-owned machinery and equipment in proper working order
- Perform on-call emergency repairs
- Take control of breakdowns and execute a plan of continued improvement for machine safety and general housekeeping
- Work with crews to complete all preventative maintenance
- Collaborate with machine operators to troubleshoot and determine the root cause of mechanical issues
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests and prioritize effectively
- Work with the Maintenance Manager to resolve potential safety hazards
- Maintain organization and inventory of the maintenance shop and tools
- Duties may vary depending on location
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (required)
- Electrical certification (preferred)
- Experience in the corrugated packaging industry (a plus)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical machinery
- Ability to use shop tools and equipment (e.g., drill press, shop grinders, welders, oxy-acetylene torch)
- Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability with practical mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Ability to read and interpret both electrical and mechanical drawings
- Fully computer literate with Microsoft environment

- Regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to perform maintenance on machinery
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis
- Must be able to wear personal protective equipment
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet or humid conditions, and occasionally high or precarious places
- Occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration
- Noise level in the work environment is usually loud
- Office setting with prolonged sitting may be required
