Maintenance Technician - 2nd shift

About the role

Maintenance technician is a customer support position, focusing on the needs of the organization. Repair and preventative maintenance of a variety of machinery, tools, and equipment used in all of our facilities. A strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously for long periods of time. This position requires a high sense of urgency with a focus on safety.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace defective equipment using hand tools, power tools, and assemble equipment
• Perform routine preventive maintenance ensuring machines continue to run smoothly, operate efficiently, and the physical condition does not deteriorate
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems; determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs as necessary
• Assemble, install and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems and plumbing, machinery, and equipment
• Train, and where needed lead others in the department to ensure departmental objectives are met
• Routine maintenance and repair of facilities and grounds
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• 7+ years of hands-on repair of electrical and mechanical systems on machinery
• Experienced with hydraulic systems – repair and maintenance
• Experienced with mechanical machine alignment checks and adjustments
• Education/training in electronics and electrical systems desirable
• Forklift license
• CNC machine repair experience, gantry mill repair experience a plus

Skills

Knowledge

• Familiar with Fanuc, Mazak, Siemens CNC controllers, PLC controllers, and servo systems

Technical Skills

• Strong troubleshooting skills with electrical and mechanical metal cutting equipment
