Maintenance Technician 2 - Fulfillment Center - Tucson, AZ

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of automated material handling equipment
• Ensure high equipment availability rates through preventive and predictive maintenance processes
• Rapidly troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and quickly restore equipment to service
• Solve problems and validate quality of work for outside specialty contractors
• Collaborate with Maintenance Technician 3s and Senior Systems Engineers for Root Cause Analysis of equipment failures
• Aid in training other maintenance technicians and technician trainees to enhance their technical skills and job knowledge
• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE)
• Perform basic electronics and Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting
• Assist with basic electronics and robotic operation/maintenance
• Execute sanitation and maintenance standards for industrial ammonia refrigeration (if applicable)

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license for state employment
• PC competency and ability to use mobile apps on handheld devices
• Familiarity with wiring diagrams, symbols, and electrical measuring
• Experience in the following areas: work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, basic blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, industrial Controls and Electronics
• Experience with automated conveyor systems and controls, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards, robotic operation/maintenance
• Desired: Degree from a vocational school or college with a focus in the Mechanical or Electrical field, 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in the Mechanical or Electrical field

Qualifications

• Comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment
• Experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration (if applicable)

Skills

• Physical demands: regular bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, climbing ladders, working off platforms and equipment at significant heights, standing for up to 10-12 hours
• Technical skills: work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance procedures, basic blueprint and schematic reading, electrical and electronic principles, basic metal fabrication and welding, industrial Controls and Electronics, basic PLC programming, robotic operation/maintenance
