Compensation for this role starts at $27.00/HR, with compensation based on degree certificates and experience.
Responsibilities
- Independently maintain and repair production equipment, such as motors, conveyors, pneumatic tools, and other machinery, applying solid mechanical and electrical knowledge.
- Identify and resolve moderate to complex equipment failures using advanced diagnostic techniques.
- Collaborate with senior mechanics or engineers for particularly difficult issues.
- Develop and follow schedules for routine preventative maintenance, ensuring equipment is operating at peak efficiency.
- Ensure all maintenance activities adhere to company safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
- Promote a safe and efficient working environment.
- Assist in training and mentoring Maintenance Mechanic I staff, helping them develop their skills and troubleshooting abilities.
- Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives, recommending enhancements to equipment, processes, and procedures to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Accurately document maintenance tasks, repairs, and modifications in compliance with company procedures.
Requirements
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in maintenance or technical roles, with a focus on mechanical, electrical, or automated systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Technical certifications in mechanical, electrical, or automated systems are a plus.
- Solid working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and automated systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to read and interpret basic mechanical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Working knowledge of computers and iPad programs such as CMMS.
