Maintenance Technician - 12 Hr Night Shift

About the role

As a Maintenance Technician at our Rhinelander, WI location (a Union Facility within our Taste and Smoke division), you’ll work with the Maintenance team to complete building repairs, equipment installation, troubleshooting, and installation. You’ll fulfill assigned work orders and address unforeseen repairs promptly while following good manufacturing practices to maintain inventory, preventative maintenance, and good housekeeping. You’ll ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations. We strongly believe in “Safety First, Quality Always” for our employees, products, and customers.

Responsibilities

• Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery
• Install and maintain pipe systems, hydraulic steam, and pneumatic equipment
• Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, pumps, mechanical seals, and related equipment
• Building maintenance including minor plumbing, welding, and general upkeep
• Follow good manufacturing practices for inventory, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental laws and regulations

Requirements

• Certification from a Vocational School or Journeyman card in Millwright or Maintenance Technician (preferred)
• 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing within a maintenance-related position (preferred)
• Basic technical knowledge of some or all of the following:
  • Stainless Steel Welding/Fabrication
  • Piping systems
  • PLC’s (Programmable logic controllers) – a plus
  • Process equipment
  • Personal Computing

Schedule

Night shift: 6pm-6am, 2-2-3 rotating schedule

Pay

The pay range for this position is $26 - $37 per hour. Kerry typically does not hire an individual at the top or near the top of the range, as we are a pay-for-performance company. This range is designed to reward performance annually while in role. Compensation decisions depend on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
