Maintenance Technician - $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

Our new Randolph, MN location is set to open in early May 2026. We are reviewing applications and interviewing on a rolling basis, allowing flexible start dates. This position may include an in-person training period at our Le Sueur, MN facility. A $1,000 sign-on bonus is available, distributed based on continued success with the team.

About the role

Perform a variety of maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the raw material quartz processing facility. This role involves troubleshooting equipment malfunctions, performing preventive maintenance, and assisting with the installation and repair of various systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on processing equipment, including crushers, screens, conveyors, mills, and other machinery, according to established schedules and procedures.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system failures, and perform corrective maintenance and repairs in a timely and effective manner.
  • Assist with the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
  • Assist in the maintenance and repair of mobile equipment, including loaders, trucks, and rail equipment.
  • Inspect equipment for defects, wear, and damage, and perform necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment, to perform maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment inspections, and repairs.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are performed in compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
  • Assist in the management of spare parts inventory, ensuring critical parts are readily available.
  • Document all maintenance activities accurately and completely in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
  • Participate in safety meetings, training programs, and emergency response drills.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance and Automation Manager.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience in maintenance preferred.
  • Technical degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing automated systems and equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, as well as automation control systems (PLCs, HMIs).
  • Strong understanding of industrial sensors, actuators, and control devices.
  • Basic welding skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices related to automation systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency for programming and documentation.
  • Ability to acquire and retain all necessary safety certifications.

Physical Requirements

  • Work at varying heights, including on the rooftop of buildings.
  • Lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Push/pull 100 lbs.
  • Stand on feet for long periods of time during a shift for up to 12 hours, with intermittent breaks.
  • Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided by Cambria.
  • Participate in daily stretch and flex exercises.
  • Work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions.
  • Walk up and down steps multiple times throughout shift.
  • Bend over multiple times throughout shift.

Pay

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $22.00 - $30.00. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is based on work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
