Maintenance Tech Specialist
About the role
This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with minimum skill requirements. Candidates must have demonstrated basic mechanical aptitude through background or hobbies in agriculture, automotive, or other technical areas, or two (2) years of FedEx Operations Sortation equipment knowledge. Alternatively, candidates can be currently enrolled in a certificate or degree program for Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or a related discipline. Related military technical experience and electrical/mechanical trade experience will also be considered.
Responsibilities
- Solve basic mechanical or electrical problems, including understanding of basic engineering formulas.
- Diagnose simple mechanical power transmission issues visually or audibly.
- Communicate effectively within the department, including peers, managers, and outside vendors, to convey basic technical data and needs.
- Use hand tools and possibly power tools.
- Work in various temperature conditions, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and squatting.
Requirements
- Possess basic mechanical aptitude and basic electrical/mechanical skills.
- Have time management and organizational skills.
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include software skills such as Microsoft Office suite and other web-based applications.

Benefits
Will consider Maintenance Technician I-III based on candidate experience. Resume must be attached to be considered. Must be able to work overnight hours and weekends. Schedule and hours will vary based on business needs.

$23.40 - $36.49/hr
