We are seeking a skilled lead maintenance technician to join our team in Venice, Florida. A successful candidate will bring a strong mechanical and electrical background, excellent communication skills, eagerness to move into a higher-level position, and experience in a manufacturing plant.

About the role

Perform all work in a safe manner following all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain, troubleshoot, perform preventative maintenance, and repair equipment in assigned areas under the guidance of higher-level utility mechanics. Maintain open and accurate communication with other maintenance employees and supervisors. Complete all assigned work orders thoroughly and accurately, documenting all relevant information. Perform Maintenance, Repair, and Operations documentation and Proteus entry as required. Provide information necessary to maintain proper parts inventories and work with outside contractors to complete projects and improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in assigned areas
  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks under supervision
  • Complete work orders and document all relevant information
  • Perform Maintenance, Repair, and Operations documentation and Proteus entry
  • Assist in maintaining proper parts inventories
  • Work with outside contractors on projects and improvements
  • Maintain plant utilities (lighting, water systems, drain systems, etc.)
  • Follow all OSHA and company safety regulations (Lock Out Tag Out, PPE, etc.)

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing plant
  • High level of knowledge and skill, with ability to train lower-level technicians
  • Technical or Trade school degree preferred, or High School Diploma/G.E.D. plus 2 years of maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Basic understanding of industrial electricity
  • Working knowledge of energy sources (electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.)
  • PLC experience a plus
  • Ability to work independently when directed
  • Basic understanding of schematics, blueprints, and diagnostic equipment (ohm meters, voltage meters, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of power equipment (cut-off saws, demo-saws, drills, etc.)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills

Pay

$28–$34 per hour, based on experience and electrical testing scores.

Schedule

6:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday – Thursday.
